Rock Queen Review by Jenny Tate:

Originating from the Alb-Donau district/Ulm, the quartet that is Rambomesser is a slick, sleek fighting machine, made of shrapnel defying rhythms, killer riffs and just a touch of tongue in cheek attitude. This is aggression, with maximum impact.

Action Star – Crushing weighty tech riff intro and straight into the fray! Tough vocals, with raw, vicious edge. Slight Chili Peppers style to the vocal arrangement, fighting with a stronger Rammstein-esque sound. Blasts of battering ram drumming add even bigger energy to this unforgiving atmosphere. Right at the top of the tree, spewing out ammo, like there’s no tomorrow.

7 Jahre Moabit – Emerging landing aircraft intro, leading right into another relentless metal refrain. Raw, gravelly vocals, dredged up from the depths. Fast-paced racing riffs mingle with huge, powerful, fun vocals. Like Rammstein, on speed. Energising and metallically refreshing. Ending on a throaty vocal.

Macheliebelang – Coming in, on a mysterious shimmering effect, followed by synth/keys and tight, fighting vocals. A light-hearted anthemic edge, peppered with strong beats. Gloriously aggressive, a curiously fresh sound permeates this track and always leaves room for surprises. Some great, invigorating riffs add to that modern, breathy flavour. Just stacks of fun.

Metal Battle – A funereal bell tolls, amidst a backdrop of theatrical, operatic metal saga sounds. Racing right into a speeding, thrilling vocal melody. Group harmonies bring an additional energy and metallic intent. Barrels of fun choruses and flavoursome rhythms. Riffs sharpening, meaningful cymbal hits carve out their space, amongst the unrepentant drums. Catchy chorus, anthemically delivered, ending with the same.

Kuttengott – Fizzing, energised drum hits intro. Speed vocals race through the track, with full impact aggression. So engaging and no room for anything but metal fun. Loving those impassioned shouts. Turn this up to the max and mosh, till you’re done. A mosh pit classic, with an action car chase rhythm. Makes you want to drive around a racetrack, at midnight, at the speed of light. Fabulous shimmery sounds accompanying the hard-line melody. Instant mood lift. Ending on a tolling bell and a fabulous screeching riff.

Reih’ Dich Ein – Opening on an emerging, ominous sound. Moving, instantly, into a brilliantly brash chorus, sung in anthemic cohesion again. Pounding, Testament-esque riffs and drums enter the equation. Thrill fest atmospherics and more Testament-esque rhythms. Fellow ‘Days Of Darkness’ fans, rejoice! Taking it down, into a classic beat, echoing RATM and Furyon, then closing on a sinister organ section.

Lieben Leben Leiden – Bang! Immediately addictive throes of mosh pit central metal. Fantastically assured vocals throw out huge, energised, fun filled refrains. Cleverly placed accompaniments, riffs intensifying the tension, impressively. Great compression in these tones. Ending on a precision toned squealing riff).

Rambomesser – Banging, solid block of metal intro’s. Moving into racing vocals, projecting Exodus-esque level fight. Fun, accessible rhythms mix with passionate shouts and electrifying slide. It’s just relentless. Closing on a vortex of sound.

Der Geburtsprivatier – Neat riffs open, growing bigger and louder, with killing drums and vocals. Strong anthemic melody enters, just before the mid-section, staying present. Gorgeous riffage, immense power beats and epic, Viking-esque sections unite. Complete cohesive chemistry. Ending on strong, echoic drum hits.

Tut Mir Leid – A crash of thunder intro’s. Straight into a giant, industrial riff. Collective shouts deliver huge, anthemic party rock lines. That riff just enfolds you in its lair. Clear, confident execution. Very riff centred track, with booming drums. Fading out, on a sleek, smooth riff.

Overall – Just a huge, immense sound, with stacks of catch and a relentlessly fun vibe, ‘KAK’ is addictively aggressive and powerfully raw. This will kick down your doors and blast you with its weapons of metal destruction.

Rambomesser Ulm, Germany

Like any good special forces, the four rockers of Rambomesser leave nothing but devastation after operation.

Armed with deafening rhythms, deadly riffs and a smooth dash of irony, this tank rolls over everything that doesn't fight for forgiveness in the mosh pit.
